Sarvail Alumni is helping to provide infrastructure to School

Sarvail Alumni has recently visited school and working on providing the infrastructure to School. According to the release of association news letter, There is an urgent need for provision of cots in the dormitories for the students. All most all the cots are in deplorable condition and children are made to sleep on the floor or on depleted cots.
Committee has decided to take up this work of provision of suitable cots for the children. An assessment was made for two tier cot similar to what we had earlier. Cost of each two tier cot with 4 lockers underneath made out of steel pipes with ply wood top works out to Rs. 6,000/- approximately. The cots are made out of Square/Rectangle Steel Pipes of reputed make and water proof plywood. The manufacturer guarantees the life of the cot will be 50 years approx. A sample cot is manufactured and kept at the workshop for display.
The total requirement of the two tier cots will be 165. The total cost of these cots will be Rs. 9, 90,000/- approximately.
It is proposed to take up the job in phased manner by providing 36 cots initially by June, 2007 for use of 10th class students.
Recent Developments at SchoolNew class room block consisting of 4 rooms is under construction. Principal Sri. Bala Brahma Chary explained that further 4 more class rooms will be constructed during the next year.
Reverse Osmosis Water plant is in operation and remarkable change in the health of the children is noticed after commencement of the plant.
Madam Vidya, Secretary APRS Society was kind enough to sanction Rs. 5 lacs for repairs to all the school buildings and teachers quarters.
Orders were released for supply of class room furniture (benches, tables etc.) through APRS Society funds (Rs. 1 Lac.) and they will be received for next academic year 2007-08.
